Schema Design
Schemas designed around how your application uses data. Includes:
- Data modeling;
- Normalization where it fits;
- Migrations.
What you receive: a schema that fits your application today and can evolve with it.
Relational databases are the foundation of data-driven applications. We design efficient schemas, optimize queries, and implement robust data layers using SQL. Whether PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational systems, we build databases that scale reliably and perform efficiently.

Faster queries through indexing and query analysis. Includes:
What you receive: faster queries and lower database load.
Transactions, constraints, and referential integrity. Includes:
What you receive: consistent data you can trust.
Configuration, monitoring, and scaling. Includes:
What you receive: a database that handles your traffic, with room to grow.
Access control, encryption, and auditing. Includes:
What you receive: a database where each user can access only what they need.
Backup strategies and recovery planning. Includes:
What you receive: backups you have actually tested restoring.
A transparent, predictable process from first contact to ongoing support
We start by listening. Please call us, send an email, or book a video call. We’d like to hear about the project you want to build or the problem you would like to solve, what you’ve tried so far, and any deadlines or budget constraints. If we need to look at your existing project before recommending a direction, we’ll discuss that next step with you.
An NDA is a document designed to protect your ideas, business plans, and any other sensitive information you can’t discuss with everyone.
While the NDA is listed as the second step in this workflow, it can be signed at any point, even before the discovery call. It doesn’t cost you anything, so please feel free to ask for it whenever necessary.
After evaluating your requirements, we send you a proposal. Normally, that’s a Master Service Agreement (MSA) plus a Scope of Work (SoW).
The MSA sets out the general terms of how we work together. Each Statement of Work (SoW) then defines the scope, responsibilities, timeline, and pricing for a specific engagement.
The SoW is where we define the project, timeline, budget, acceptance criteria, and everything else not covered by the MSA.
If you decide to give us more work (and why not, we’re quite good at IT), we don’t sign another MSA. We simply sign a new SoW under the same MSA.
Once agreed, we get to work.
The SoW sets out what we’ll deliver, the timeline, and our responsibilities. We’ll keep you updated as the work progresses and discuss any issues that could affect delivery.
We deliver the work defined in the Statement of Work (SoW) and review it with you against the agreed acceptance criteria. Depending on the engagement, this may include deploying software, handing over code and documentation, or presenting findings and recommendations.
Software Development projects: full code ownership, no licensing or royalties. 30 days of code warranty included.
Support is optional and mainly applies to software development projects rather than advisory engagements.
If you need help after launch or ongoing software maintenance, we can discuss retainer options. You decide whether you’d like us to stay involved after delivery.
Share your database requirements. We'll design efficient, scalable SQL solutions.
